Garmin Navigation System
Originally designed and used only for the military, GPS systems are now available nearly everywhere. Garmin provides the best GPS systems in the world.
The Garmin global positioning system has been one of the most common and recommended GPS systems amongst all of the other GPS systems that are available today. The founders of Garmin, Gary Burrell and Dr. Min Kao, started the company with the opportunity to create and become one of the leaders of GPS navigation.
Being the leader in navigation, Garmin has created a number of different GPS navigation systems which come with a number of different features, all of which give Garmin an advantage in continuing to be the leader in the business. Most of the Garmin systems come with a touch screen, voice recognition, and Bluetooth capability as well as the ability to extend the usefulness of a unit with optional specialized map sets, also developed and made available by Garmin.
A Guide to Garmin GPS Navigation Systems
Before we start, Garmin, Tom Tom, and Magellan are not the only three GPS manufacturers out there. Garmin itself sells about 70% of the GPS systems sold.
Before I talk about Garmin products in particular, let’s talk a little about GPS receivers in general–especially what their main features are.
The basic features of any GPS after-market automotive system are the following:
Touch screen interface with 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional views
The Garmin nuvi 200 would be the perfect unit for you. Tom Tom and Magellan also have competitive products at this price range. The Tom Tom One and the Magellan Maestro 3100 are great introductory GPS receivers. Wider 4.3-inch screen
Garmin Nuvi 200 Widescreen Satellite Navigation System
The Garmin Nuvi 200 is a very user friendly and is not only GPS device, it is a multimedia device, currency converter, picture viewer, and it also includes Garmin Lock and anti-theft feature and more besides.
Offering the perfect blend of anti-glare and optical clarity, ClearTouch Anti-Glare for this GPS System is real world screen protection at its finest. The Garmin Nuvi 200 is one of the least expensive auto GPS units you can buy.
